Exhibition at Japan Process Chemistry Society 2025 Summer Symposium
2025-07-23
We are exhibiting at the “Japan Process Chemistry Society 2025 Summer Symposium” held at Funabori Tower Hall from Thursday, July 24 to Friday, July 25.
Our exhibition booth is located at Booth No. 17 in the 1st Floor Exhibition Hall (Venue A).

This time, we will be showcasing TBAB (Tetrabutylammonium Bromide). TBAB is well known as a phase-transfer catalyst, but it also increases the polarity of organic solvents such as THF when added in small amounts. As a result, it has been shown to enhance the solubility of highly polar substances such as organic salts.

In addition, we will be presenting information on SBH (Sodium Borohydride). While SBH is generally known to reduce only aldehydes and ketones, we will introduce reduction methods for amides, carboxylic acids, and nitriles through combinations of SBH with suitable additives.

We will also be giving a poster presentation as follows:
• Date & Time: Thursday, July 24, 15:00–16:40
• Poster Location: 2nd Floor, Togen (Venue B), Poster No. 1P-34
• Title: “Reduction of Carboxylic Acids with NaBH₄: A Literature Review on Additives”
• Format: Poster Presentation
• Content: This presentation reviews literature on the reduction of carboxylic acids using SBH (Sodium Borohydride) in combination with coupling reagents or elemental halogens, focusing on substrate scope and active species involved.

Furthermore, at the adjacent poster booth 1P-33, Prof. Korenaga of the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Iwate University will present “Development of an Efficient Method for Ester Reduction Using NaBH₄–Alcohol.” We would be honored if you could attend this presentation as well.

We look forward to seeing you at our exhibition booth.
